2. What We Do
Agree the big plans to make sure Valuing People happens in Oldham
Check up that people are doing what they said they would do. Check our plans are happening to make people’s lives better.
Decide how the Learning Disability Development Fund is spent.
Check the money from the Development Fund is being spent properly.
Help people from different organisations work together to make services better for people with learning disabilities and their families
Make sure people with learning disabilities and their families are involved in planning services
We will write a report every year to tell people about our work and how this has helped make services better.
3. Who is on the Partnership Board
People from these organisations and groups should be on the Partnership Board:
- Adult and Community Services
- Primary Care Trust
- Education
- Housing
- Leisure
- Employment Service
- Job Centre
- Advocacy Group
- Self advocates
- Family members and carers
4. Voting
The Partnership Board will make choices and decisions by voting.
Everybody on the Partnership Board can vote.
Every 3 years the Partnership Board will have an election for a Chair (person in charge of the meeting) and Co-Chair.
Every 3 years the Partnership Board will have an election for self advocate representatives.
5. Partnership Board Rules
You must come to as many meetings as possible.
If you can’t come to a meeting you must phone the Involvement Officer before the meeting.
You need to read the minutes and any other information before you come to the meeting.
Don’t forget to bring them with you.
All presentations to the Partnership Board must be easy to understand.
Notes from the meetings will be easy read with pictures.
Any new papers or consultations that people want the Partnership Board to look at must be sent to the agenda group first.
The Partnership Board will not look at any last minute paperwork or presentations on the day of the meeting.
